If you are under the age of 30 years, you've probably never seen a record player out of a movie, and if you are under the age of 20, you may never have seen a movie in one. Turntables are used to playing old vinyl LP's, records, and they work using the needle easily by a spiral groove on a record, from the outer edge of the inner zone.

This needle would be used to create an oscillating electric current, which was used to generate speaker drive and a sound. A large part ofAudio technology that we take for granted (high fidelity, stereo sound) were first pioneer work in turntables.
