I bought this as a gift for my mother on the assumption that a standard digital connection for a computer (USB cable, etc.) as any other version of this type that I later found. It 'really just imput rc not work with a specific input microphone - Yes, you're basically left with a regular old turntables with no new way to connect to a computer or the creation of digital files. Look elsewhere if you do not have one of the few high-end sound cards that specific inputs required for this product. The software was too complex and not intuitive at all. Lame.
